Dr. Park, the Director of the League of

Nations Eastern Bureau, has left Singapore for

Hong Kong to discuss with the authorities there

measures against the spread of the cholera

epidemic. The Bureau is making enquiries about

the available stocks of anti-cholera vaccine in the

affected areas.

Dr. C. L. Park, Director of the League of Nations Far Eastern Health Bureau, is

sailing for Hong-kong on Monday to confer with the authorities there on measures to be taken to prevent the spread of cholera. A rigid inspection is being carried out here of all vessels arriving from Hong-kong, and the British India steamer the Talma, with 1,500 Chinese on board, has been put in quarantine owing to a case of cholera among the crew.

Our League Correspondent reports that, in view of the spread of cholera in the Hong-kong area, the Singapore Bureau of the Health Organization of the League has telegraphed inquiries about the stocks of cholera vaccine available in the national institutes in the area affected and threatened by the epidemic.
